The representatives from the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia visited and exchanged experiences on appropriate waste management at Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital.

On Thursday, February 15, 2024, a distinguished delegation from the Royal Government of Cambodia visits Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital to exchange insights and experiences on effective waste management methods. This visit is part of the Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange Study Tour under the project "Cities for All: Inclusive, Smart, and Sustainable Urban Development in Cambodia."

Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital has been acknowledged as a leading private healthcare organization exemplifying commendable waste management practices within the Pom Prap Sattru Phai district, Bangkok. We are honored to showcase our approach and contribute to the collective pursuit of sustainable urban development.

Dr. Thitipong Nandhabiwat, Chief Executive Officer, alongside the management team of Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital, led our esteemed guests through an in-depth exploration of our systematic waste management process. This included a detailed overview of our waste categorization procedures, highlighting the importance of proper segregation.

Our hospital boasts dedicated areas meticulously designed for the separation of various types of waste. Particularly noteworthy is our state-of-the-art recycling waste separation room. This innovative technology significantly reduces resource consumption by transforming waste into valuable organic materials.

Furthermore, our waste management system includes a specialized facility dedicated to converting organic waste into nutrient-rich fertilizer. Through the meticulous composting of food scraps, we produce organic matter utilized in our hospital's vegetable plot, situated on the 8th floor. By adopting such practices, we actively commit to environmental sustainability and the creation of a greener, more eco-conscious ecosystem within our premises.
